So it begins. Each Soulcollage card reveals itself in this form, using these particular words. The cards are made in random order.

The Scavenger

I am the one who makes do, who makes a life with what others throw away. I reuse, recycle, and make art with found objects. I scour flea markets and thrift stores, and find things for myself or others to use in a new way. I love gadgets.

Soulcollage suits

There are four suits in the Soulcollage deck:

*The Committee Suit, or the psychological dimension, which represents aspects of ourselves

*The Community Suit, or communal dimension, which represents other important people (or pets) in our lives

*The Companion Suit, or the energetic dimension, which represents our animal totems corresponding with the seven chakras, or energy centers, in our bodies

*The Council Suit, or the spiritual dimension, which represents archetypes who are active in our lives

There is also one Source Card, representng the divine as we know it.

When I post a card, I will usually label it as belonging to one or more of these suits, or make up a new one if I can't fit it into these categories.

I hope to share some of my collages and paintings with you. I have posted a few of my efforts on my other blog, wildeve-musings.

Recently I've become interested in the Soulcollage (R) process created by Seena B. Frost, and I am working on a personal deck of Soulcollage cards. There is an online group working on this process with Carla Kurt of Wingsforyoulifecoaching

I am posting mine here. My process has been very slow- partly because I have very little time to devote to this, partly because it's my nature. These cards are made for personal use only- I am sharing them to share the process, and the discoveries and insights it gives me. The images are taken from magazines, postcards, and other materials that may be protected. (Please read sidebar.) At some point, I will be sharing some of my other work as well. I would love to hear your thoughts on this process, and see some of your own cards if you decide to try it.

The following is an explanation of the process, by Seena B. Frost:

"What is SoulCollage®? Seena Frost

SoulCollage® is a process through which you contact your intuition and create an incredible deck of cards which have deep personal meaning and which will help you with life's questions.Following the simple SoulCollage directions, your hands move fragments of cut-out magazine pictures around, fitting them together in a surprising new way and gluing them down on a card. Cards containing the images you select --- or the images that select you --- come straight through your Soul, bypassing the mind. This is a multi-leveled, creative process which anyone can do. All you need is a good pair of scissors, pre-cut mat board cards, and images you can cut out from magazines, greeting cards, personal photos, postcards, catalogues, and calendars. It is wonderful to have other people with whom to share the process. The cards are fun to take to a friend's house, to work with in therapy or support groups, or to keep on your coffee table.
